About the Instructor

I'm Binta Diop, also called Umm Yahya. I am a Qur'an Educator and Muslim Mindset and Relationships Coach.  

Surah Yusuf transformed my own life during one of my most challenging moments, helping me find patience, clarity and deep trust in Allah's Qadr.

Now, I teach and guide women through Qur'an-centered Coaching, helping them apply its lessons to overcome procrastination, release perfectionism, and move though life with more trust in Allah Azza Wajal and more peace of heart.

Surah Yusuf has truly changed the way I see both my relationship with Allah and the trials of this life. One of my biggest realizations was that Allah’s plan is always unfolding, even when life feels full of hardship, delay, or injustice. Every trial Yusuf (عليه السلام) faced was preparing him for something greater, and it reminded me that my own setbacks are never meaningless. Allah is always in control, and every setback is a blessing carrying wisdom that may only become clear later. It taught me to trust His plan completely.

Yes, indeed surah Yusuf has been very impactful ❤️. It made me realize how every thing that is happening in our lives, no matter how hard, painful or ugly … it is all part of Allah’s plan for us. In ayah 12:56 Allah says:

And thus We established Joseph in the land to settle therein wherever he willed.

All of what happened, his brothers throwing him in the well, him being sold, separated from his family and land, accused of ugly crime, thrown and forgotten in jail… all of this is not random but how Allah settled him in the land… it brought immense comfort to my heart.

This surah was so full of gems for me, I reflected a lot on how Yusaf AS  had this amazingly balanced sense self worth, how he did not abandon himself and how he was able to forgive his brothers because he didn’t make make any of it mean anything about his worth. I am working on not abandoning myself and Alhumdulillah I am beginning to show up differently.
